Almost everyone at some time faces the chore of writing an article for their company newsletter. Most dread this assignment and postpone it until the deadline is staring them in the face.
A newsletter is a medium of communication. Each article has a purpose. When developing your material, remember that it should accomplish one of the following: teach, inform, announce, advertise, entertain, recruit, clarify, explain, praise, persuade, illustrate, interpret, inspire, or define. Use one or two of these ideas as the foundation for creating your article.
Your article must appeal to a limited audience. That group influences your choice of subject material. Keep their different needs in mind.
As the due date for your newsletter material approaches you may need a topic idea you can get excited about. Below are thirty ideas to engage your creative brain. Think through what you want to say and then begin writing.
Once you have an interesting topic, you can make it appealing to others. You may need to interview people or do research. Limit the number of points you discuss. Prove each point with facts, your own experience, or interviews.
