When Garney Hill was 17 years old, he decided he wanted to work at a bank.
He liked the idea of wearing nice ties and working in a big building. He also thought bankers made a lot of money.
Hill relied on the help of Coach Elgin Woody, director of the Topeka Boys and Girls Club where Hill had been a supervisor through high school, to help him find a job.
