Video presents a simple and extremely effective way of sharing information and knowledge with your employees - and it's much easier than you might think.
In fact, our research shows that two-thirds (67%) of employees are better at completing tasks when communicated with visually (video or text with images) vs non-visually (plain text) - and they absorb the information 7% faster.
For businesses, this means that using visual content at the right time and in the right way could unlock more than 25 hours a week in productivity.

This goes without saying when communicating to your audience - you need to know who you're talking to. At the end of the day, or at least at the end of your video, all that really matters is your audience and whether or not they found value in your video.
The more detailed profile you can provide on whoever it is you're training, the better. But, one of the key areas to keep in mind is how much they know. This will be your guide on things such as how simply you need to communicate tasks, the level of difficulty of tasks that should be communicated and how much context is needed.
You don't necessarily need quantitative or demographic data on your typical colleague, student or audience member. Qualitative knowledge and anecdotal experience are also of value here. Think about the typical person who will be viewing your video and write down all that you know about them.
