The 120mm Advanced Mortar System (AMOS) developed by Patria Hagglunds meets the needs for the Non Line-of-Sight Mortar (NLOS-M) system being developed as a part of the Army's Future Combat Systems (FCS) program by United Defense (UDI), according to an AAI (UIC) official.
"We have found a partner in Patria that exceedingly meets the needs of the U.S. Army," Bob Peters, AAI's director of advanced programs, last week told Defense Daily. "It will meet the time schedule of FCS."
AAI last week signed an exclusive technology license with Patria Hagglunds to offer AMOS for FCS. Patria Hagglunds is a joint venture between Britain's Alvis (ALV.L) and Finland's Patria Industries.
