ABN-AMRO lifts managing director from RBC

Tom Byrne, formerly a senior manager in Royal Bank of Canada's media and communications group, has joined ABN-Amro Bank's media and communications group as a managing director. Byrne now is responsible for marketing ABN-Amro's senior debt capabilities and ancillary products to telecommunications and media companies, a banker said. Ancillary products include treasury services, swaps, foreign exchange, equity, fixed income and securitization, he added. Byrne declined to comment.
