ST. JOSEPH--What started as a one-man shop in the CEO's basement in 1968, today is Johnson-Rauhoff Inc., a company with nearly 130 full-time employees. And plans are on the drawing board to expand its space even further.
Johnson-Rauhoff is a marketing communications firm with an ad agency building in St. Joseph, and a commercial photography studio in Benton Harbor.
Don Johnson, owner and CEO, attributes the growth of his company to the fact that they became computerized early on, and are diversified in their services.
"I was recently told that we have one of the largest computer networks for an ad agency in Michigan." Johnson said. "Getting involved in computers early on has definitely given us an edge."
