AOTA member researchers traveled to Washington, DC, on several occasions in May in support of existing rehabilitation research efforts, to encourage enhanced efforts at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and to lobby Congress to reject a White House proposal to transfer the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR) to NIH. These visits were made in conjunction with other disability advocates and the Disability and Rehabilitation Research Coalition (DRRC).
