Albertson's adds car washes

Albertson's Inc. opened its 13th fuel center in Idaho last week, at Five Mile and Overland roads in Boise, and it was the company's eighth to feature a car wash.

Mark Schumacher, corporate fuel center sales manager, said Albertson's plans to include car-wash facilities at an increasing proportion of its Albertson's Express fuel centers, which total more than 200 nationwide.

"With each new fuel center we're building, where possible where there's room - we're going to try to plan a car wash," he said.

Coin or code-operated car washes long have been offered at convenience stores...
