How much cash will it raise for IE?
LOST IN THE HYPE surrounding Ingram Micro Inc.'s recently proposed initial public offering was the proposed offering of another channel player: XLConnect Solutions Inc., a subsidiary of Intelligent Electronics Inc., Exton, Pa.
Although much smaller than Ingram and not expected to have nearly the same impact on the rest of the channel, XLConnect's initial public offering will be closely watched by Wall Street as well as channel executives, who are especially interested in how much cash the offering will raise for IE.
According to papers recently filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, XLConnect, which resulted from the combination of the professional services organization of reseller The Future Now Inc. and Intellicom Solutions Inc., has been consistently profitable with improving revenue and impressive margins.
