Alterra Capital reports Q1 profit

Alterra Capital Holdings Ltd. on May 9 reported first-quarter net operating income of $67.8 million, or 66 cents per share, compared with a net operating loss of $24.7 million, or 23 cents per share, in the first quarter of 2011.
