The commander of Air Mobility Command (AMC) believes the Total Force is a fact of life for everyone in today's military, perhaps more so for U.S. Transportation Command and AMC.
"In every mode of transportation, at least half of our capacity comes from our commercial partners," Gen. Tony Robertson told civilian and military representatives of the Air Force Association during its recent symposium in St. Louis, Mo.
General Robertson told the audience that in airlift, for example, on the military side of the equation, AMC keeps a majority of its air mobility capability in the Guard and Reserve components, ready for use when needed.
