The developers of Summer Beach Resort on Amelia Island have another big residential project on the drawing board - a 450-home community near Yulee.
Amelia National features an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus signature golf course and 17 homes starting at $300,000.
Amelia National is the first off-island project Summer Beach Development has pursued since it began building Summer Beach Resort in the 1980s.
Although the new project received local permitting, construction will be delayed until its developers see how other properties in the area perform.
