Specializing in non-branded casual wear, American Apparel has opened its first Toronto store, the latest move in its fast-paced expansion plans.

Opened Aug. 14, the Toronto store operates on Queen Street West, in the city's downtown core.

Senior partner Dov Charney is interested in additional Toronto locations, and says six to seven could open, over time. Other major cities are also of interest, including Calgary, Quebec City, Halifax and Kingston (where a deal has been signed...
