Anadarko Petroleum Corp. sold its assets in one of the nation's largest dry gas shale plays for more than $1 billion in a continuing effort to pare down its debt.
Castleton Commodities International LLC announced Nov. 18 that it bought the Carthage upstream and midstream assets from Anadarko subsidiaries. With the deal, Castleton said, the firm will own more than 160,000 net acres of leasehold in east Texas.
