Another tenant is pulling out of struggling University City Shopping Center.
Music City Spokane Inc., which sells all types of keyboard instruments, says it will close its 2,000-square-foot store in the mall at the end of this month. It currently is holding a liquidation sale there. The company has four other stores.
Martin Wittkopp, president and part-owner of Music City, says one of the main reasons the company plans to close its U-City store is that the mall lacks consumer traffic. He also cites Lamonts Apparel Inc.'s previously announced plans to close its store at U-City, the mall's inability thus far to line up new tenants for vacant spaces formerly occupied by Rosauers Supermarkets Inc. and J.J.
