The Arizona Department of Revenue has announced the tax year 2017 inflation-adjusted standard deductions, personal exemptions, and individual income tax brackets.Standard Deductions For 2017, Arizona standard deduction amounts for taxpayers who do not itemize deductions are: * Single: $5,183 * Married Filing Joint: $10,336 * Married Filing Separate: $5,183 * Head of Household: $10,336 Personal Exemptions For 2017, the Arizona personal exemption amounts are: * Single: $2,150 * Married Filing Joint: $4,300 * Married Filing Joint and claiming at least one dependent: $6,450 * Head of Household and not married: $4,300 * Head of Household and married: $3,225 * Married Filing Separate with neither spouse claiming any dependents: $2,150 * Married Filing Separate with one spouse claiming at least one dependent: $3,225 Tax Brackets For 2017, for single taxpayers who are not heads of household and married taxpayers filing separately, the Arizona individual income tax brackets are: * $0 to $10,346: 2.59% * $10,347 to $25,861: 2.88% minus $30 * $25,862 to $51,721: 3.36% minus $154 * $51,722 to $155,159: 4.24% minus $609 * $155,160 and over: 4.54% minus $1,075 For married taxpayers filing jointly and heads of household, the tax brackets are: * $0 to $20,690: 2.59% * $20,691 to $51,721: 2.88% minus $60 * $51,722 to $103,440: 3.36% minus $308 * $103,441 to $310,317: 4.24% minus $1,1219 * $310,318 and over: 4.54% minus $2,149 News Release, Arizona Department of Revenue, October 18,2017
