TOURISTS AND BUSINESSMEN have no shortage of choices when it comes to the state's hotel industry. Nor must they worry that meeting spaces all will be filled at once.
Using information gathered from each facility directly, Arkansas Business ranked the hotels based on the number of guest rooms and suites they offered in this first-ever list of largest hotels. And because cost Is always a factor when planning a trip or business meeting, minimum and maximum prices per room also were included, although some hotels declined to release that information.
Hotel room prices were based on what those in the hospitality industry term "rack rate," or standard rate. These figures are before any discount or special-event weekend room rate hikes and are based on single occupancy.
The Arlington Resort Hotel & Spa in Hot Springs is the largest hotel in the state, with 523 guest rooms and suites, beating out its nearest competition by 83...
