A woman lactating at 3:30 a.m., a yield sign featuring ovaries, and a floating jar of JIF peanut butter - all just a few examples of the eye-catching paintings a local artist plans to sell online.
Felice Bochman, mother of four and an artist, said the idea for her company, Scaramoosh.com, was simply to sell her emotion-driven pieces of art. Scaramoosh.com will go live May 15.
Combined with her husband Andrew's knowledge of the Web and the possibilities of the Internet, the husband and wife duo decided to put Bochman's artwork online.
"The fact that I had a tech background made me feel comfortable bringing art to the Web," said Andrew Bochman.
While her husband put the deals in place to launch the site, Bochman aggressively began painting; she said she is particular about her artwork.
"It started a few years ago, I started painting with the kids,"...
