Just 32 years old, the Billboard co-executive editor was not born when her father arranged such 1950s/1960s hits as Memories Are Made of This, Lara's Theme (from Dr. Zhivago), and Love Me With All Your Heart. But Ray Conniff lived to be 85 (passing away in October 2002), and, says Tamara, "My dad gave me an appreciation for all types of music, including rap and heavy metal. That plus my writing ability made my coming to Billboard seven months ago from The Hollywood Reporter the perfect fit." Just-released April 30 Billboard, with its famed listings getting more prominence, is the work of Conniff, co-executive editor Ken Schlager (he is in charge of the New York office; she runs the bureaus), and creative director Daniel Stark.
