HAUPPAUGE, N.Y - Audiovox will begin offering an MP3 player designed mainly for the car in conjunction with i2Go, Atlanta, Ga., according to Pat Lavelle, president of Audiovox Electronics Corp., the new wholly owned subsidiary of Audiovox Corp.
In addition, Audiovox will enter the navigation market, with announcements on the new venture expected in the near term, said Lavelle. "One reason we have not entered the navigation business is we believe it has been a very small market," he added, "but now the car manufacturers are creating awareness."
