BOULDER - Audit Logistics, a new freight management firm primarily targeting the hospitality business, says it can save businesses 2 percent to 8 percent of their freight costs, which could equate to thousands of dollars.
Many hospitality freight shipping businesses do not reveal the actual cost of shipping but incorporate it into their overall cost, said Darlene Henke, president of Audit Logistics. "Audit Logistics is the first company that offers shipping at 100 percent cost", Henke said. "We charge a flat fee for our services."
Audit Logistics was created by Henke and funded through two private investors in Boulder. They cooperatively decided Boulder was the best location for their business, located at 6420 Gunpark Drive.
This privately owned startup, with six employees, celebrated its one-year anniversary in March. Audit Logistics is estimating to do five times the amount of business it did in 2002, Henke said.
"Our company has just had an amazing response from the hospitality industry," Henke explained. "We come in and save businesses money on a service that they have been paying more money for over the years."
