Seagate Software's Backup Exec will also become part of Windows 98 OS
SEAGATE SOFTWARE next month will ship Backup Exec for Windows NT 7.0, which is a version of its backup product that is now based on Microsoft's Component Object Model (COM) for Windows NT.
"[Backup Exec for Windows] NT 7.0 is a very large release for us. It's critically important, and there are a lot of things packed in there," said Ken Horner, director of storage management products at Seagate Software.
