One of the nation's fastest growing bar/restaurant concepts is building its first-ever Long Island location with plans for a few more here.
Bar Louie, an Addison, Texas-based brand of restaurants marketed as a neighborhood bar and meeting place featuring handcrafted cocktails, local brews and a menu of casual food choices, will make its area debut with a 9,100-square-foot location at 2115 Jericho Turnpike in Commack, formerly occupied by Chuck E. Cheese which closed in June.
Bar Louie aims to attract an affluent 25- to 44-year-old crowd to what it describes as its "inviting urban atmosphere." Far from the quick in-and-out of fast-casual restaurant concepts, the average guest-stay is two hours and 15 minutes, according to Dan Drummond, the company's chief marketing officer.
