B arclays is looking to increase its revenue from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and will add some 100 people to its staff of about 1,000, said its CEO. The UK-based bank is seeking to boost revenue from the region by as much as 25 per cent annually over the next five years, John Vitalo, Chief Executive Officer for the Middle East and North Africa, told Bloomberg. He added that Barclays is growing its balance sheet modestly and is posting respectable growth in revenue and pretax profit in the Middle East and North Africa.
