Heyday TV/NBCU International drama explores the dark side of the deepfake phenomenon
The Capture is “not the drama of reassurance” and will only serve to increase paranoia about the modern world, according to the BBC1 surveillance thriller’s executive producer.
Heyday Television’s Rosie Alison said the drama, which is penned by The Missing’s Ben Chanan, would open viewers’ eyes to the growing use of deepfakes – videos that are manipulated by artificial intelligence. It is being produced by Heyday in partnership with NBCUniversal International Studios.
