Kevin Cushing, director of marketing at the Cherry Hill Hilton Hotel, 2349 Marlton Pike, Cherry Hill, N.J. (856-665-6666), executive chef Darius Peacock, his assistant chef Paul Melilli and restaurant manager Elliot Cilien are so close, they could have their own zip code.
As human beings, they are all as warm as cream of wheat.
You might say they are all a glass act because they keep everything in focus and the focus is on pleasing customers.
More specifically, that focus these days is on their Sunday brunch, which is one of the best-kept culinary secrets on either side of the Delaware River.
The hotel, which is less than five minutes from the Benjamin Franklin Bridge on Route 70 (at Cuthbert Boulevard), has been offering the Sunday brunch in their restaurant, Cooper's Bar & Bistro, since last November, but the word still hasn't spread widely enough that it's one of the best food bargains in the Delaware Valley.
It is eclipsed in public recognition by The Mansion in Voorhees, N.J. and by the Four Seasons and Ritz-Carlton Hotels in Center City Philadelphia, but in the quality and...
