Best's Review presents its fourth annual listing of top global reinsurance brokers ranked by 2009 brokerage revenues.
Aon Benfield continues its reign at the No. 1 position. It's been a year since Aon and Benfield joined forces and the broker announced that it has retained more than 95% of the combined global client base.
No. 2 Guy Carpenter continues to expand by acquiring two reinsurance brokers in 2009 - Collins and Rattner Mackenzie.
Of special note is the addition of TigerRisk Partners to our listing. It narrowly missed being in the top 10 listing. The company was formally launched in 2008 by former CEO of Rennaisance Re Jim Stanard and Rod Fox, former CEO of Benfield Inc.
