Helping our society's less fortunate is the mission of the Bidwell-Riverside Center, and the organization has been working toward that goal for more than a century.
Bidwell was begun in 1893 as an outreach mission to Italian immigrants through the Methodist Church. Riverside was begun in 1900 as an outreach mission to Mexican immigrants. Bidwell and Riverside merged in 1947 to become Bidwell-Riverside Center, which has been in its present location since 1954.
