Montana ranchers share their Big Sky Beef recipes

henever Howard (Howie) and JoAnn Hammond host out-of-state guests on their Malta, Montana, ranch, the comments are "Wow, where did you get beef like this?" and "I wish I could buy beef like this!"

Now you can, too. The Hammonds, along with 10 other beef producers in Montana, have launched Big Sky Beef, an online beef store run through their Web site, www.beef.com (Phone: 800/MT-Angus).

The Big Sky ranchers have purchased one processing plant in Malta and are selling all the beef they have the capacity to process. A new plant will open January 1, 2001.
