Ground-breaking is set for November on a $5 million metal stamping plant in Detroit for Superb Manufacturing Co., a subsidiary of Bing Steel Inc., of Detroit.
Superb President Herbert Taylor said the new plant will be fully operational by next May. It will be about 50,000 square feet and is designed to double its size in the future.
Superb Manufacturing, which makes metal stampings for the automotive industry, now operates its plant in leased space in Sterling Heights. The operation will be transferred to the new building, bringing 54 jobs to the city.
