Bioreason Inc. (Santa Fe, N.M.; www.bioreason.com) announced at the BIO CEO Conference, a pilot deployment with Pharmacia & Upjohn (New York; www.pharmacia. com) to use Bioreason's technology and services to reduce the cost of screening by improving the data analysis process. Process improvements include the use of automated knowledge engineering and knowledge discovery from data mining, virtual screening applications through the Internet and the use of integrated customer-application service provider (ASP) teams. Bioreason's knowledge systems capture and automate the reasoning processes of chemists during the lead discovery process.
