Abstract
(Marketwire - Aug. 22, 2012) - Rail technology leader Bombardier Transportation has agreed with Infotech Enterprises to develop and upgrade infrastructure at Zilla Parishad High School, in Khajaguda, Hyderabad. The school, located near Bombardier's Engineering Centre India (BTECI), educates around 600 children and young people aged between three and 15 from underprivileged backgrounds.
Bombardier has a strong record of supporting Indian communities, with programmes for local schools, orphanages and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs). Bombardier has supported infrastructure development in various schools, funding education of underprivileged children near its manufacturing sites in Maneja and Savli, near Vadodara in Gujarat. Bombardier is also offering vocational training for around 175 teenagers in the Delhi region, primarily young women, to improve their career prospects.
