That BP Guy is history.
BP Oil has launched a television ad campaign, laden with Hollywood-produced special effects, to replace a campaign featuring actor Gary Burghoff as That BP Guy.
The new campaign, which focuses on BP's fuel research, made its U.S. debut during the Summer Olympics in July and started a regular media schedule on Sept. 7. The schedule will continue until the end of October.
Linda Laszcz, advertising manager for BP Oil, said the new, 30-and 60-second television spots were created by BP Oil's ad agency, W.B. Doner & Co. of Southfield, Mich. The special effects...
