TELECOMWORLDWIRE-(C) 1994-9 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD BTnet Services has launched a new Internet access service. Designed for web hosting companies, tier-two Internet service provider and companies running bandwidth hungry e-commerce applications, BTnet WebStream offers asymmetric transmission rates from the network to the customer. The service provides 30Mb/s connectivity to BTnet Services' core IP network, while inbound data rates offer a choice from 512Kb/s to 10Mb/ s. Three service options are available - a basic service with asymmetric bandwidth between the customer's site and BTnet Services' IP network; 'BTnet WebStream Secure' which offers the basic service plus an ability for customers to govern their IP traffic with a firewall; and 'BTnet WebStream Resilient Extra' which aims to protect the customer's service continuity at every level.
