NORTH SYRACUSE - C&S Engineers not only has grown, but also has multiplied in its more than 30 years in Central New York. There are now four separate employeeowned C&S companies that work together.
"Our business is evolving with the market," says Orrin MacMurray, president and chief executive officer of the C&S Companies.
During the past few years, C&S has created three new firms: C&S DesignBuild, Inc.; C&S Technical Resources, Inc.; and C&S Operations, Inc. The new companies allow C&S to work on projects beyond the engineering phase. The firms share C&S's 44,000-sq.-ft. headquarters at Syracuse's Hancock Airport.
Adding C&S Design-Build to its engineering company gives C&S the ability to reduce potential project problems by performing construction as well as engineering services for clients.
C&S Technical Resources is an industrial contracting company that installs and moves industrial equipment, primarily in Central and Western New York.
The newest company in the lineup is C&S Operations. The one-year-old firm is an outsourcing company that offers management services, such as wastewatertreatment or power-generation facilities, for industrial plants. MacMurray...
