Abstract

(CCNMatthews - Dec. 21, 2006) - In anticipation of the inclusion of ski cross to the Vancouver 2010 sport program, the Canadian Freestyle Ski Association and Alpine Canada Alpin announced today their partnership to integrate the event of ski cross into the Canadian high performance system with the goal of winning medals in 2010.

"Ski cross will be a great addition to the Vancouver 2010 sport program. In addition to moguls and aerials, it is a very spectator friendly event that will add to the excitement and energy on Cypress Mountain in 2010," said Peter Judge, CEO of the Canadian Freestyle Ski Association. "There is no doubt that by combining Freestyle's and Alpine Canada's resources, Canadian ski cross athletes will have a great chance of achieving podium results in 2010...it's going to be a challenge but together we can get it done."
