CANELLOS, CERESNEY NEW DIRECTORS AT SEC

Abstract

George Canellos and Andrew Ceresney have been named co-directors of the division of enforcement at the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Canellos is currently serving as acting director, a position he has held since January 2013. He was the divisions deputy director from June 2012 onwards. Ceresney moves to the SEC from law firm Debevoise & Plimpton, where he served as a litigation partner from 2003 onwards. Previously, he worked in the US attorneys office for the Southern District of New York.
