Canon's Elura is the only vertical form-factor (taller than it is long camcorder we tested, although both JVC and Sony offer similar models as well (see "Digital video comes of age," November 1998).
The Elura is nicely shaped and relatively easy to hold, but, as with any vertical camcorder, its compact size doesn't always translate into pure shooting convenience.
