Capital IQ Adds UK Share Ownership Data

Abstract

Standard & Poor's Capital IQ division will this week add UK share register data from London-based shareholder analysis firm JunctionRDS into its Capital IQ desktop platform, to deepen its ownership profiles of UK-listed companies, and enable users to identify the beneficial owners of stocks purchased in bulk on behalf of others by brokers or investment managers. At launch, the raw JunctionRDS data will be displayed as a standalone view accessed from the company profiles, though Ian Rosner, SVP of Capital IQ in Europe, says Capital IQ will over time more closely integrate this data into the platform's existing ownership profiles to provide a full picture of a company's ownership structure within the Capital IQ profile itself.
