GREENSBORO - Carson-Dellosa Publishing Co. Inc. recently shipped the last of thousands of reading books to school teachers in New York City as it fulfilled year one of a two-year contract with the largest public-school district in the nation.
Having won NYC as a client, Carson-Dellosa managers are about to pitch their Month-by-Month Phonics reading program to schools in Pennsylvania and California.
"There's still a lot of growth out there that's possible, as New York City shows," said Joey Bland, product coordinator for Carson-Dellosa, which has annual sales of $50 million.
Before signing New York City in February, the largest school system to use Month-by-Month Phonics districtwide was Greenville, S.C.
