CE Hall of Fame Class of 2013

The CE 2013 Hall of Fame includes inventors, executives and retailers whose innovative inventions and business strategies helped to change the industry. This year's class includes Jim Barton and Michael Ramsay, co-founders of TiVo; Dr. Samar Basu, inventor of the lithium-ion battery anode; Gary Burrell and Dr. Min-Hwan Kao, co-founders of Garmin; Mikio Katayama, who pushed Sharp's pioneering work on LCD technology; Dr. Ted Hoff, father of the microprocessor at Intel; Len Tweten, founder of Magnolia Audio Video and his son, Jim, company president; and Steven Van Slyke, co-inventor of OLED at Eastman Kodak. The night also included a special tribute to Jack Wayman, founder of CES. Here are some highlights from the induction ceremony at CEA!s annual Industry Forum in Los Angeles.
