Cendant Corp.'s planned split into four smaller public companies should have little impact on the Danbury-based Cendant Mobility operations - other than a name change and the continued promise of growth in the number of its employees over the next few years.
"As our success continues to grow in the marketplace," said Kevin Kelleher, Cendant Mobility's president and chief executive officer, "we will continue to look at expansion and the attraction of great talent in the Danbury area."
Cendant Mobility is one of the Danbury region's largest privatesector employers at 1,800 people, and earlier this month cut the ribbon on a 30,000-square-foot addition to its now 259,000-square-foot global headquarters. The addition should allow it to grow to about 1,950 employees.
The company provides employee relocation services for major corporate clients, including two-thirds of the Fortune 50 companies.
