UnitedHealth Group Inc. CEO David Wichmann criticized the "wholesale disruption of American healthcare" that would be caused by certain proposals on Medicare -- particularly Medicare for All. UnitedHealth executives also played down the effect of possible changes to the prescription drug rebate structure on its pharmacy benefit manager, OptumRx.
Progressive Corp. yesterday reported first-quarter net income attributable to the company of $1.08 billion, or $1.83 per share, up from $718 million, or $1.22 per share, in the prior-year period.
