The Canadian Football League will kick off the 2001 season this July with a cool new corporate partner on board.
Last week, the league announced it had scored a two-year, mid-six-figure deal with antifreeze and cooling system products manufacturer Prestone Products Group of Mississauga, Ont., a division of Honeywell ASCA. Prestone products are available in over 800 retail locations in Canada, including Zellers, Wal-Mart and Canadian Tire stores. The deal will leverage that retail presence with instore promotions running from September through November, offering customers a chance to win a trip to the 89th Grey Cup in Montreal. Details of the planned promotions haven't been finalized.
