Panda-mania is coming to Toronto, and buyers are invited to "Discover the Extraordinary" at the CGTA Fall Gift Show, August 9-13, 1998, at the International Centre and the Toronto Congress Centre.
"Extraordinary" new products will be on view in the New Product Showcases with each location displaying a different selection of products. This year, for the first time, the CGTA Gift Show will be conferring an award for Best New Product of 1998. A panel of trend-tracking media and retail buyers has been established to assess this year's most exciting new products and decide upon which of the many submitted is most deserving of the title. The winning product will be on display in both showcases.
"An important part of the dynamism of any show is the introduction of new products, so we have expanded our search for what's new and different among our members and developed a competition to honor the Best New Product of the year," says the show's communication manager Jane Barnett. "A New Product Newsletter, featuring all the new products entered into the competition, will be distributed to buyers and the media during and after the show."
For the first time, the New Product Showcase in the International Centre will feature an area devoted to international trends. "Keeping on top of the trends is a big part of being successful in this business" says Margo Vanderlee, CGTA event manager.
