The transformation of an iconic Brisbane pharmacy has reinforced Terry White Chemists' (TWC) strip site renewal strategy.
THE NEW strategy will see existing strip pharmacies "hand-picked" and rebranded as TWCs to complement the banner's strong shopping centre presence.
Coorparoo Day Night Pharmacy on Old Cleveland Rd in Coorparoo, Brisbane opened in 1957 and has now been transformed into a 600m2 TWC store.
The Lord Mayor of Brisbane, Councillor Campbell Newman, officially opened the rebranded pharmacy and surrounding medical precinct last month.
The business is co-owned by pharmacists Nicky Muscillo and Terry White, founder of the Australia-wide TWC group.
"Nicky managed this store for more than 10 years before leaving to join TWC management, so I'm thrilled to be partnering her back in Coorparoo," Mr White said.
"It's a great local success story and I think it's only going to get better."
According to Ms Muscillo, the rebranding is good news for the local community.
