The Colorado Springs Coors distributorship - a longtime family-owned business - sold earlier this month.
Former Coors Vice President Pete Bedka, longtime Coors distributor Bob Ariano and -an undisclosed partner are now the owners of Rampart Distributing. Ariano's family owns the distributorship in Durango, the oldest of the Coors distributorships, having started in 1933.
Former Denver Bronco quarterback and twotime Superbowl winner John Elway is not the undisclosed partner, according to Jeff Sperbeck, a marketing agent for Elway. Elway was a partner in the purchase until about a month before the sale, a spokesperson at Coots confirmed.
