Cisco Systems, Inc. next week will unveil a new access concentrator as part of a broad initiative to meld voice, data and video traffic on enterprise networks.
The MC3810 multiservice access concentrator is the result of Cisco's acquisition last year of start-up Ardent Communications Corp. The device replaces two models within Cisco's 3800 line of multiservice access concentrators, the one-slot 3801 and three-slot 3830 (NW April 7, 1997,pagel).
