Cisco Systems, Inc. last week announced improved ISDN support for its routers and introduced an enhanced version of the Cisco 4000, which has three times the horsepower of the existing box.
To be released in October, Cisco's Integrated Services Digital Network offerings will include Primary Rate Interface support for the Cisco 7000, a Basic Rate Interface (BRI) for the Cisco 4000 and the new Cisco 4500, and a new version of the Cisco 2500 configured for entry-level ISDN applications.
The 2500 configured for ISDN includes one Ethernet and one BRI port for $2,200, or a token-ring version for S2,700.
LOWER CALLING COSTS
