Citizens-Flint is in the process of acquiring 17 bank branches from new Bank One

FLINT - Citizens Banking Corp., which has put itself on a relatively fast track of expansion of late, has now announced that its subsidiary, Citizens Bank, Flint, has entered into an agreement with the new Bank One Corp. to acquire 17 bank branches located in northern Michigan.

Of course, Bank One Corp. is the result of the recent acquisition of First Chicago NBD Corp. by Ohiobased Banc One Corp. (Following that merger, the new company altered its name to Bank One versus Banc One.)

And here in Michigan, what now is called Bank One was NBD Bank up until mid-May.
